Luna Caribeña
She’s wearing an evening dress,
fluttering in the April wind,
spike heels sink into beach sand.
His jacket matches the sterling orb
that suspends ocular against onyx sky.
Tropical heat, bewitching woman,
inviting laughter from red lips.
His desire is resistance—
But the waves tango, a breeze croons.
She clutches forearm for balance.
He swoops closer, music
rippling from the hotel lounge.
They sway in rain, wet clothes
hugging lithe bodies.
The ocean, their dance floor;
their spotlight, the moon.
